I was greatly amused by the extent to which Deepal despised Kalman’s The Principles of Uncertainty. I have to say that I enjoyed The Principles of Uncertainty for its stylish stream of conciousness pictures and words. There’s too much thinking in this nytimes piece, and the thoughts are pretty lame. I recall Deepal just calling the The Principles of Uncertainty stupid, and he gave me Joe Brainard’s I Remember just to let me know that he hated me for my recommendation.
