Obama said he wants to shorten the college football season to make way for a three-round playoff. I don’t think it makes much sense to shorten the season to add 7 games at the cost of eliminating something like 50 or 100 games from the regular season for the rest of the teams aka not the rarefied few who perennially play for the national championship.
