Reminds me of Tsai Ming-Liang’s The Wayward Cloud where Taiwan has a water shortage so everyone’s forced to eat watermelon. As my dad would say, “Watermelon is a mild laxative”—but it’s also pretty sexy and protrayed accordingly in The Wayward Cloud. Tsai doesn’t give people as much to grab on to.
