have you ever noticed that diehard fans at concerts tend to adopt the style of their favorite band? seriously, check this out, james mollison compiles photographs for his gallery show “the disciples”.
My guess is that many people choose to support bands that share a similar fashion sense, which helps them justify that selfsame fashion sense—as opposed to adopting the sense of those whose music they appreciate.
