AFP: US activist held in N.Korea, says colleague
Robert Park, 28, walked across the frozen Tumen River from China to the communist North on Friday as his fellow activists watched and videotaped his unauthorised entry, according to Park’s colleagues.
A US citizen of Korean ancestry, Park claimed he had seen a vision from God of North Korea’s liberation and redemption. “I am an American citizen. I brought God’s love. God loves you and God bless you,” Park was quoted by two activists as shouting in Korean as he crossed the North Korean border.
